On your Inside Real Estate website, you can create links to search results pages that utilize a certain view setting to tailor the search experience.
For example, you can set a link to automatically go to either the list, map or gallery (grid) view on the resultign search results page.
to do this, you would add a url parameter to the end of the search link (before a question mark, if it exists) in the format of:
List View - No Parameter to add
Gallery (Grid) - /grid/
Map View - /map/
EXAMPLE:
I have run a search on my website, http://wasatchviewrealestate, for a city named Salt Lake City. The resulting url is:
http://wasatchviewrealestate.com/search-homes/wfrmls/city/city-Salt+Lake+City/page-1/order-list_price+desc/?search=bar&searchpage=1
I want to setup a link on a Google PPC ad that goes to this page, but uses the Gallery (Grid) view instead of the default list view. I add the parameter on, and the resulting url is:
http://wasatchviewrealestate.com/search-homes/wfrmls/city/city-Salt+Lake+City/page-1/order-list_price+desc/grid/?search=bar&searchpage=1
Note the end of the url (before the question mark) has the /grid/ parameter. This will ensure visitors land on the Gallery (Grid) view as expected.
